For Our Next Instant Playlab!
What is an Instant Playlab?
Our Instant PlayLabs bring together the artistic community in a free, fast, and fun night of making new theater. Open to everyone, Hook & Eye's PlayLabs are a low-pressure, high energy evening in which we create new short works in an open, community-workshop setting.
We start with a theme and invite all present to iterate on that theme. After a group warm-up, we split into smaller groups, take an hour or so to weave our ideas into a piece, and regroup.
The evening ends with a show and quick discussion of what has unfolded with wine and snacks.
The resulting work is always relevant, immediate, and ephemeral.
